Love it! Not sure I understand this "shoe rotation" you speak of...
I have been wearing boots almost every day all year long for a few years, I thought this summer, since I do own a number of shoes, I would try for a primarily shoe (not boot) summer. Hence a "shoe rotation". Will see how it goes.

Thanks to all who chimed in with a reply to my question about my brush. Strangely, Kirby started following me on Instagram like an hour after I posted the question but I'm sure it's just a coincidence as my Insta isn't really tied to this account at all.

I'll have to look into the Grant Stone brushes. I've had good experiences with the AE brushes, as well as Star so it's a little disappointing. Appreciate the help, fellas.

I'm not sure what happened, but I played my cards right and kept calling the Brooks Brother phone CS and someone returned a clearance shoe that I had been eyeballing for a few days. It's the BBxAlden variety, and I don't anticipate that they'll return in the future.

I had picked up the black shell unlined LHS a few days ago and I was surprised by how comfortable they were. My feet are quite flat, which makes sizing loafers a real PITA. I'm normally a 10.5D in most shoes, but I was surprised that I had to size down to 10D in both the Aberdeen and Van lasts to prevent heel slip. They fit wonderfully, but I've never had my toes so close to the front of the shoe before. If my toes don't touch the front of the shoe, is this okay? Normally I'm used to having a little more room.

I would think that if your toes are not bumping up against the front of the shoe, and they feel good in the arch and ankle, it's ok.

I'm all boots all year round(with a loafer or blucher thrown in rarely). It can get hot but the Alden game isn't for the faint of heart!

I've been boots 95-98% of the time since I retired and yes it can get warm in summer, but I really like boots, so like you, I just wear them. I'm going to wear shoes a bit more this summer, I own a few pair of AE, Alden and GS so might as well get them worn more than I have this past year.
