Just received the Vintage Chalk trousers. They look very nice. I didn't see care instructions, so I was wondering if they're dry clean only...

Hey Mauro, can you estimate how much the donegal chambray will run? also which of the 6 chambrays have the most slub/nep, it's difficult to tell nep with the pictures.

If you are worried about price go with the 6 shirts I am about to release are all very high quality chambray's from Italy and Japan and are going to be around $170.00 retail.
The donegal and selvage retail around $340.00

Best,

Mauro

Oh that $170 for the donegal is tempting. The darts on the Chambrays can be taken out to fit very similar to an A.D fit correct? This is really a decision of do I want a WG henley, WG Tshirt, and WG chambray or that donegal chambray lol.

I think in this case more is better. Specially if you don't own any of my tees.

Any pics of that cotton / poly tshirt material you were talking about Mauro?

I have the fabric here but don't want to take pics til the sample is ready.

On another awesome note-

The underwear arrive today. I am excited. I believe if you get a pair your twig and berries will be excited too.

Regarding the fit of these two: "The donegal and selvage retail around $340.00"- will they be cut like the recent batch of overdyes OR like the Stars/Bicycles/Aloha/Railroad Stripe chambrays from about six-eight months ago? Or god forbid neither because then I have no points of reference. I understand they'll be Before Dinner, just trying to nail down the fit.

And while we're at it- same question for these: "6 shirts I am about to release are all very high quality chambrays from Italy and Japan."

Thanks!

Boxers have arrived! Better than I expected.
These will be everyone's favorite underwear.
I think for the office they rock no doubt but for all the people that work out these will be your go to undies.

The shirts will not fit like the over dye oxfords. They will be like all the other shirts except shrinkage will be added in so when you put it on for the first time the sleeves and hem will be longer. That's it.

Sorry but I've been really confused by shrinkage in general. Will shrinkage occur if you only hang dry these and never use a heated dryer?

Mauro can chime in, but for what I understand about it, shrinkage is what happens when an unwashed fabric is made into clothing without being washed. There's a certain amount of stretch to the fabric inherent to the material as a result of how it was made, but washing it sort of shrinks it down to a finished size, if that makes sense. So if they account for shrinkage in the fabric, they basically took test fabric and washed it to see how much it shrinks. After that, they calculate the percentage and build that in to their pattern for the shirt, so when you wash it for the first time, it either is preshrunk to account for the shrinkage, or it's cut to account for future shrinkage.

Still haven't seen any of the tester's reviews on the undies. Anyone care to chime in?
