Well as it turns out the Burg & Schild x Iron Heart collab N-1 was much smaller in measurements than anticipated, so my options now are the almost-all-black version or the khaki version. I'm not sure which direction I want to go, especially as I just got brown shoes. I lean black, but khaki is classic, if not extra workwear-y.

Khaki cause its the OG. Plus black jackets are too default Nyc.

Haha yeah He and I both are. Black jackets during winter are so ubiquitous here though it’s kinda just a bit meh. Granted, not many are wearing N1s. Just a lot of Northface, Canada goose and Moncler.
Surely a proper N-1 would stand head and shoulders above all that nylon, and would probably be easily warm enough - WTF, is everyone in NYC wearing winter parkas? It ain't that cold there.

Bruh, the minute it hits 59 people are breaking out their sleeping-bag jackets.

A khaki colored one would like mine is. A black, not as much just cause of the color.

About a week or so it was in the teens (Fahrenheit) and windy and was fairly cold, but its subsided. But yes.. a sea of black parkas everywhere.

We could flex on everyone with our matching khaki N-1s. We'd call ourselves The Beige Brothers.

People might think an old-timey winter Fleet Week was going on!

Wearing the Mister Freedom 44WLs today. I like them very much, nice cast of blue to the denim, leaning a little 70s but not overly so.

I'm presently wearing them with fat cuffs, although debating whether I will have them hemmed. What are the kids doing these days?

Most of the time, I do a single or no cuff. Still have some tokyo doubles though

I cuff all my denim, but usually do about 3” cuffs. Its not for everyone, but I’m all in on that look.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
