Regardless of country of origin, repro is still repro really. So other non-Japanese brands should be posted/shared. I think majority of repro, not 'repro inspired' are done by Japanese brands (a lot of smaller brands out there too that just have no presence in the US market) so I think that's why. But by all means, there's a lot out there so no need for a separate thread.
Yup. I agree.

there are some hard-core repro brands in Europe like Pike Bros. (Germany), The Quartermaster (Italy) and Fleurs de Bagnes (France).

I am going to be in Portland, Oregon for a few days. Do folks have vintage and menswear stores that I should visit? I know there's a Self Edge, but I live in the Bay Area and go to the one on Valencia. I might still go visit the one in Portland just for fun. Any others?

TIA
a benefit of going to Selfedge in PDX is ~10% savings because of no sales tax.

Bronson, OlderBest, Labour Union 1986 are all Chinese, but they have some great looking repro stuff. My order from OlderBest should be here tomorrow. I'll let you all know how it is.

Do we need a generic Repro thread, or maybe repurpose this one?
I received my order from OlderBest and the tl;dr review is: They did a great job in the material, stitching and packaging. They delivered on their promise.

Here's what I ordered:
  1. 1870s 15 oz Herringbone Selvedge Denim
  2. 1930s IVY Style Double Pleated Chino
  3. 1940s Hollywood Waistband Coloured Speckle Tweed Trousers
  4. Vintage Salt & Pepper Pocket Work Vest
The trousers were all incredible. The material is thick and hefty on all three. The stitching and the details are very impressive. It's very clear that OlderBest takes repro very seriously. Everything was packed in beautiful large ziploc bags that showed off the item and each item had beautiful tags attached. I wore the Hollywood Waistband Speckle Tweed Trousers, and it turns out they are fully lined with Bemberg! The quality of these trousers is very good. I also wore the Vintage Salt & Pepper Vest. Here's my look on the HOF What are you wearing thread. I got two (positive) comments running errands which is not usual.

Trousers 1 & 3 were pretty short for me. Normally, this would make me uncomfortable, but I wore trouser 3 with Alden Indys and they actually looked really good. Trouser 2 has my normal fit, lengthwise. My body is a bit freakish. I am 6' (183cm) have a 29 inch (78cm) waist and 32 inch (81.5cm) inseam. I am all legs. These pants seem to be faithfully reproduced and I am sure there were very few men with my body type in the 1870s, 1930s or 1940s.

I am placing another order with them - I guess that's real proof of what I think of their stuff. Though their trousers are a bit short, I think I can style them with boots and socks.

Thanks for your report. It's up to you, but personally I would wait with another orders a little bit as I would need much more time (and wears) to know if I like some stuff or not.

Just being point-it-out-guy.
I think the name of the thread should be changed though if all repro is welcome in order not to confuse people.
That's actually a really good point. Maybe a separate thread is warranted to not confuse. When the thread first began, I titled it as such only cause I have a strong bias towards Japanese brands.

Considering all the stuff out there that is 'repro' or adjacent, or 'heritage' *cringe* it can all get a bit blurry haha.

So I am searching new pair of raw denim. I want a relaxed fit with high waist. Thigh measurements minimally 33-35cm. So far the best I have found are these models:
- Japan Blue Jeans - J501 - https://bears-tokyo.myshopify.com/products/japan-blue-jeans-circle-j501-14-8oz-denim-loose-straight (These are close to perfect measurements in that state so I am wondering if I should expect these to shrink 5-6cm like most raw denim?)
- DENIME - by WAREHOUSE - Lot.220A - https://hinoya.shop/en/collections/jeans-all/products/220a-or
- FREEWHEELERS / Lot S601 XX 1944-45 - https://mcfly-store.com/collections...601-xx-1944-45-2312441-14oz-indigo-denim-wash (also these are close to perfect measurements and it says washed but they should shrink a little more after wash?)

Thanks! The measurements are very close to most of these that I posted here but I checked measurements for 675 from a few different stores and these might be the most inconsistent measurements haha. Front rise for the same size is measured 31-34cm and now I can only guess...

Freewheelers one wash have most of the shrink taken out, I wouldn't worry about them changing much. I have more experience buying raw but from them - hot soak plus a couple of machine washes to get raw Freewheelers down to the one wash measurements IME.

Warehouse x Denime look good too I've been tempted by those. some sizing discussion in the Sufu Denime thread I think https://supertalk.superfuture.com/topic/161386-denime/page/123/

Freewheelers seem like a mission impossible to get here in EU or it would be noticeably more expensive than Denime 220A or Japan Blue Jeans J501. I think I would prefer 220A but it seems that thigh measurements will be on the slimmer side so I will probably go with J501.

Would love to hear if anyone has any other recommendations.
