Anyone have the Buzz Rickson Original Spec BR40025A chinos? The size charts I'm finding online are absolutely all over the place. If you have a pair can you tell me the tag size, the waist measurement, and your subjective sense of the sizing?

Given that there is some overlap, just wanted to mention I've created a Bryceland's appreciation thread.

I always somehow forget about them, or the fact that they have a shop in Tokyo. I always keep meaning to check them out when in Japan but it just falls off my radar. They made some really cool pieces, especially their shirting options.

Yes I agree! To me they're definitely strong in quite a few categories. And also more accessible in Europe now that they have a store in London.

Not Japanese, but I found this 1999 Polo Sport newsboy jacket on The Bay and am liking it. It's leaning into the 90s oversized leather jacket lewk that's en vogue at the moment, but is Dad's Style at heart.

Incidentally, Ralph Lauren happens to have this same jacket up in their vintage supply - for 4 times what I paid.

Heya guys!

Anyone here familiar with pricing on an original deadstock 1st type m65? Found one that fits me perfectly, but seller is asking for a stupid price. What would be a fair price? Don't want to get taken for a ride. Cheers!

Original 1st type M65 jacket in deadstock condition is very rare and I don't think you will come across it very often (especially in size that fits you perfectly). Therefore I can understand the price asked for it might be quite high. I've never seen such jacket on eBay or elsewhere so I do not know a reference price for it.

Is there a list or preferably a Google Maps list of stores (thrift and other) in Tokyo? Thanks.

Any opinions on the best OG-107 fatigues? Orslow, RMC, Buzz Ricksons, etc.? Looking for something nice and roomy, so as close to the original cut as possible.

I don't think you can go wrong with the Orslow regular fatigues.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
