That's why when you're a big timer you have private spaces and public spaces. Even in my decidedly non-big timer status we have a powder room just for guests in our indoor entertaining spaces then there's the bathroom in the guest house that services our pool/outdoor space. All the other bathrooms are ensuite, and as has been said, you don't want those in use for guests.
Still lacking a proper SF fungeon complete with bathroom stall gl0ryh0le.

WFH? No way any of them work. This is totally cranky old pensioner "Get off my lawn!" type stuff, like the one lady that complained about not being able to open her windows between noon and 1 and between 4 and 5 because of the noise. Two hours a day you have to close your windows? The horror...
It's not funny when you respond to me seriously.

Speaking of substantial setbacks, who wants 50 acres in Marin County?
Honestly, seems like a pretty good price, all things considered.

Can someone familiar with the area explain the downsides and why each owner keeps selling it for less?

Can those other parcels not be developed (or subdivided)? Is something particularly undesirable about this location?

Is it haunted?

It's an unusual house, looks to have only double-track access, and is remote AF. My guess is there aren't many people desperate for that combination of factors.

It's also weirdly not very big and not particularly well setup for a weekend house. No pool, no lawn, on a giant hill so not great for kids (fine for a main house but less for a weekend one).

I think it's pretty cool (pretty awesome bathtub in the master bath) and know people who have houses in the broader area, but they mostly live in the city and use those to escape on the weekends.

I guess you could live there and commute into SF but it would be over an hour.
