For me, there is no competition: the Milanese holes are the tightest and most beautiful. Think Tom Ford and Camps de Luca, rounded edges and silken sheen, an hour or two of time and effort for beauty's sake.

Hi,
This is such beautiful work, please could you tell me what thickness thread/brand you used for this buttonhole? I'm learning to make them from a book but I've found the gutermann silk twist quite fine for the wool flannel I'm working on, so I work quite tightly with the stitching to cover all the hairs but then it looks too strained...

Also... What does your reverse look like?: )
