Heschung GENET

Odeon last, Norwegian stitch, aniline calf leather from the French HASS tannery, natural rubber sole.
Very strong and comfortable chukka boots, a little wide for my feet which allows the use of heavier socks.

Wow! I like the Norwegian welt, a bit different. I have some hiking boots with a Norwegian welt.

Those look very high quality, I will have to look into that maker as I am not familiar with them.

Heschung (which incidentally my iPhone wants to autocorrect to “he’s hung”) makes an excellent shoe. Their origins lie in mountaineering footwear and boots.

Heschung is a not so well known French brand that surprised me with its very high quality. I would say that they produce better boots and shoes than many of the renowned British brands, not only in terms of their construction but in their finer details.

From three years ago, just out of the box: Church's Ryder, GYW desert boots in Maracca suede.

Interesting to see how the crepe soles, even though are completely white underneath, have their sides painted to dodge the ugly look they would get when dirty.

They look really good and not as expensive as I expected when I saw your pair.

That explains the Norwegian welt! I’m glad to have discovered the brand

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
