The bumper outsole on the Playboy offering is just a bit more substantial than the Sanders offering. I think the comparison of the toe box area reveals that slight difference and the heel on the Sanders model is a bit more defined than that of the Playboy model.

I definitely like the look of the sole edge finished in brown. I think light works too but might be less practical.

I think I discussed these with you on the Sanders thread a while back. Very nice boots, I think they strike a good balance somewhere between a more casual desert boot and the formal Chukka.

Odeon last, Norwegian stitch, aniline calf leather from the French HASS tannery, natural rubber sole.
Very strong and comfortable chukka boots, a little wide for my feet which allows the use of heavier socks.

Wow! I like the Norwegian welt, a bit different. I have some hiking boots with a Norwegian welt.

Those look very high quality, I will have to look into that maker as I am not familiar with them.

Heschung (which incidentally my iPhone wants to autocorrect to “he’s hung”) makes an excellent shoe. Their origins lie in mountaineering footwear and boots.

The Luther by Sanders arrived today and I am quite pleased.

From three years ago, just out of the box: Church's Ryder, GYW desert boots in Maracca suede.

Interesting to see how the crepe soles, even though are completely white underneath, have their sides painted to dodge the ugly look they would get when dirty.

These look really nice. Wayyy nicer sole.
