Does anyone have any info of this robe coat?

Google tells me another one sold on grilled and that the fabric is alpaca, but there's no info on how old the coat is. Cheers guys

I'm 95% sure this coat is a fake (I'd need care tags to be sure). Spacing and stitching on the label tag is off. Also the cut doesn't look like early Margiela + early Margiela outerwear almost always used cotton for the lining rather than viscose.

Slightly tangential, but I dont believe anyone's discussed Margiela's Line 13 (objects) or there furniture collaborations. I believe there are three different origins for Margiela furniture: showroom pieces, Baleri Italia collab, and hotel collabs starting with la Maison Champs-Elysées.

I wasnt able to find pictures, but I know one of the Japan showrooms had a dining chair hung from the ceiling like a swing, and a coffee table made from a large pile of books covered with a glass top.

Does anyone know who manufactures Margiela bags or if they were made in-house? (Those from Line 11 that were made in Italy)

Hey! Got a question for anyone who’s got experience in cleaning up and restoring items.

There’s a pair of margiela ‘paper maché’ boots I’d fallen in love with a while ago, so when I came across a pair for a great price I had to snag them. Only problem is they’ve been weathered a fair amount and the white’s turned to more of a yellow and brown. The rest of the aging (e.g. the cracking) I’m good with, but I’d like to figure out a way to clean them up without damaging the paper maché like surface.

Does anybody here have experience with this 5zip?

I messaged the seller and he said the p2p was 21.5”, which seems very small for a 54.

No plans tonight and i've been meaning to get around to this for a couple years. I'm going to post some pictures from each season that I find unique. I've omitted pictures already in this thread, or that float around with some regularity. I have some images from the old Margiela website, back when they had a nearly complete archive. I've also had a Flickr search bookmarked for 8 or 9 years, I recommend you do this for any topics you're interested in as Flickr images aren't indexed by Google. I bet I have a couple goodies in here even @RegisDB9 hasn't seen before. If you've seen all of the below consider yourself an MMM Painted Black Belt (or would it be white?).

Some of these might be incorrectly sorted especially from the earlier years. I tried my best to reference garments for sorting if there was no season information found along with photo. Please correct me if any are spotted as I want to make corrections to my own archive.

Rumor has it this season all the models were refused service at a local lunch spot so shirts were reintroduced with AW04.

Im not certain if there was a separate collection from the Pitti garments. Pitti was all the coolest stuff re-issued in white. I got a few of the best pictures in this group from a person in attendance who had them unlabeled on Flikr only found under Pitti 06.
