Are you guys just calling up random stores and asking for cordovan models in your size?

I can't remember who gave the tip, and I'm struggling to find the post now, but someone mentioned that there were a bundle of second-quality (mostly) shell shoes sitting in the Freeport, ME store. I gave them a ring and ended up with these guys:
They were labeled as "light brown cordovan". Anyone else have this color cordovan from AE? I think it's a pretty good score, no? This is part one of my first shell purchase with the other pair being a burgundy Westchester. @rostov thought that the recent drop of cordovan Westchesters to the shoe bank might be first quality, and I think he is correct. They look superb.
Agreed about Natural shell. Walnut shell is a unicorn. I have 2 truffle shells from AE (wore both this week) and they are significantly darker.
I'm trying to determine if my 11.5E foot will fit in blue and green 11D's! Damn that list!
Its most certainly natural. Given we don't know they lighting conditions or camera settings. Def. not truffle though. Natural shell differs batch to batch it seems. I have true Walnut shell Daltons that are really close to natural. Thought sometimes the warehouse labels the natural Walnut. Like the strands I had and the Leeds I just got. Don't think a Walnut shell leeds was ever a stock item. Especially with brass eyelets.
Nice purchase, looks good. Never heard of "Light Brown Cordovan". I assume that they are probably Truffle or Walnut, but they could also be on the darker side of Natural as well...

we know. You've said it at least 3 times. Who cares what color they officially are? We see what they look like. The older "Allen Edmonds" marking/font on the insole, which I didn't notice earlier, strongly suggests to me that these are not natural shell. I'm pretty certain now that these are walnut or truffle.
If these were from the trunk show (the only time natural shell was available), they would have the newer insole markings with the Allen Edmonds shield and the newer font, etc.

Any response on the Rogue?
She was at work but my impression was she was swamped. She got my Heritage order finalized via email.
Upcoming shell sale?
Speaking of MTOs, wearing my navy suede McAllisters on the way to a family garden party. We stopped in Pottery Barn to get a gift. Therefore, I'm sitting around bored, taking photos of my shoes. Wife is rolling her eyes...
What sole is that?

I could maybe be talked into a Rogue Shell MTO. Keep me in mind as a maybe, and if it takes a while to get us there, I may jump in. I just can't right now. Probably need to part with some shoes I am not wearing. I currently have 33 pairs of AE and 13 pairs of hose are shell.... I have a problem, and you are enabling me...Still haven't heard from Allison. I think she might have been on vacation this week, or was exceptionally busy. I'll follow up again next week, but with the upcoming shell sale at the shoe bank, I suspect it will be a little while before we're able to get enough interested folks for the Rogue.
