Anyone on the hunt for a specific AE in 2025? I’m keeping my eyes peeled for a Merlot Strand in 9E.
One of our reviewers recently reviewed the Malloch's Seaweed Newman Roll Neck Jumper. Check out his thoughts on this modern contemporary version of the British submariner jumper here.

Within my AE lineup, I have the chromexcel Strandmok and the Patton in grey (Kudu).
How do I care for these? From what I understand, I shouldn't use a polish, unlike calf leather.
Also, it wouldn't damage the leather on these kinds of shoes if I used them to shovel snow, would it?
For CXL - Venetian Shoe Cream or Saphir Greasy Leather.
Shark-approved, looks like.Marbled Burgundy McAllister boots today.

I own a pair of kudu boots and all I've ever done is brush them!Does Allen Edmonds make any specific product for CXL?
Oh! I think this thread needs to be mucked.Guys - I don't want to muck up this thread so would someone be so kind as to point me in the direction of the AE for sale thread (if it still exists).
Much appreciated.
After my last purchase over a year ago of neutral wax, I gotta say that AE has inferior shoe products.Does Allen Edmonds make any specific product for CXL?
Try using a heat gun or hair dryer to loosen the glue. Then rip it out. The stitching is only coincidental as it was not meant to keep the insole in. You should be able to rip it out and replace with a new insole. Worse case scenario is that you don’t like the feel and need to go get another pair. I am sure AE always has something similar on sale as the sneaker parade seems to be non ending.Hey all, I was hoping maybe you would have a suggestion here. I've been wearing a pair of AE Burkes as my daily sneaker for many years now, but over time my big toe calluses have finally won the war against the insole. These shoes are not recraftable, and it seems like there's some stitching keeping the insoles in. I would hate to have to throw these away, as I love them and they're not made anymore. Apologies if it's been discussed here before, but has anyone figured out what to do about these AE sneakers when something like this needs to be replaced? Especially since I've moved to New England and I'm still nervous about wearing my nicer AE shoes/boots around with all the salt and slush.
Attached is a photo of the damage. Thanks for any advice
