Mid-60s day fall day in the Chicago burbs means that I can try to pretend that it's actually fall and not some sort of "False Fall." Shell and selvedge to celebrate this very special interlude.

Grateful for another tolerable temperature day here in Chicagoland. Was going to do another pair of shell, but with the rain, I figured I'd break out the chili weatherproof Higgins Mill boots instead. Who knows what those 17 droplets of rain would have done to my precious shell! They might have been damaged forever!

Just shy of $1K and you can't give me a boot with a properly placed medallion? And to think I was stupid enough to order 2.

You can find out what size uppers that they used. This is not a quality issue, it is a business decision to use multiple sizes of uppers to make shoes. They call it the uppers program.
