I would need a 42 size jacket and that would come with a 36 size pant. I would need a 32 size pant to fit properly. Isn't that quite a difference for the tailor to work with? Maybe not??!!

I think a good tailor could fix that, I used to have that same problem and my tailor did a gret job with the pants. I used back then a 40 size jacket and 30 size pants. Avoid problems and go MTM, would be a better investment for you.

Honestly SS has decent spread collar shirts..but that collar is too small for the peak lapels of that suit.. thats why there is a slight gap by the collar...

Apologies for the extreme exposure. It was the only way I could get the fit to show with the crappy in-store lighting and quick iphone pics.









My feeling is that the London fits best, but it's my least favorite of the cuts. The Havana appeals to me, but I don't think it will fit me very well. Aware that the Havana sleeves are too long. They didn't have a 38L or a 40R in for me to try. But I suspect the 38L Havana will be far too short in overall length, even if the shoulders are better. White peaking out on the Napoli is my belt buckle. Shirt barely escapes showing.

Brief context: I'm 27, 6'3" 175lb (with a hair over a 31" inseam, so comments about high buttoning point will be taken with a grain of salt. Everything has a high buttoning point on me, unfortunately). I'm a musician, so I have little/no need of a very conservative business dress suit. Immediate purpose of suit is for a July outdoor wedding, but I could just generally use a navy/dark blue suit.

I personally think they all fit pretty well. In general the shoulders look good, it looks like the width of your left shoulder is a little narrower than your right giving me the impression that it's just a wee bit wide, moreso on the london. But that's getting picky. If you get the Napoli or London I think you leave the body alone. The Havana could probably take a little nip at the waist if you wanted more shape.

I wear a 38R in the Suit Supply Napoli. Any idea what this corresponds to in the JCrew Ludlow? Also, anyone have experience with their normal vs. slim pants?

I'd like to ask those who have bought Suit Supply suits how they've held up after a little while wearing. Curious how the fabric has worn so far and how the half-canvased suits have kept their shape. I went into a store today and tried on the London cut and it fit me very well right off the rack; only alteration needed was hemming the pants and letting out the seat a bit (trouser pockets opening up a bit). However it's hard to tell how well they'll wear when just looking at them in the store.

I haven't worn suits in a while and realized that most of my nice ones have gotten too tight in the top block of the trousers because I've been doing more leg exercises and have gotten a bit thicker there. Therefore, I've started thinking maybe my very next suit should be fairly inexpensive while I make sure I'm not going to change much more.

The other question is whether to go with OTR or MTM if I do indeed go with Suit Supply. The London suit I looked at was $469, plus about $30 worth of alterations (not including going to a separate tailor to have the belt loops removed) and MTM starts at $599 according to the website. But perhaps the best bet is leaving the loops in place on the first one, seeing how it goes, and then going MTM on the next if I'm happy with the result.

Can't see the back, and the collar gap on the sides in the first pic worry me. Make sure there's no collar gap at the back.

This looks nice except for the rather prominent >o< at the top button. The chest is also bowing a bit, but I'm getting the feeling that it's a common problem. May I ask what your true chest measurement is?

I think you'd be pulling this off already if it weren't for the poor choice of collar. Any decently large spread, I think, would suffice. If you're in the EU, Tyrwhitt makes fairly cheap shirts with a decent cutaway (the QC is poor however, speaking from experience). Don't expect magic from them, but the value proposition works on deep(er) discount. They ship to the US, too, but at that distance the shipping is hefty.

I find the Havana fits very well on you. Just a slight touch-up on the sleeves. I actually find the Napoli and London look a tad tight on you.
