I'm in agreement with 1969, I don't really want to spend all my spare time searching B&S for pieces I like, so if people post things they have for sale in the threads of the designers I like & subscribe to, then i'm all for it. And everyone who has SS for sale doesn't do a shameless plug here, so your point is irrelevant...

I've always thought it was great to have those posts in here. As long as you only post your item once, I really don't see a downside. If you're reading this thread, it's because you like the designer. So why wouldn't you want to see his stuff that's up for sale? If it's not something you like, then pass over the post like the thousands of other worthless posts on this forum.

I think I fit about the same. I'd say a TTS to non-slim size 50. 52 at times depending on the designer (54 for m.a.+).

It might be slightly oversized which I think is fine for the style especially if you have the height. You probably could have gone down to a size 5. I think for shirts and blazers size 6 is pretty necessary. For knits and outerwear its more of a tossup. Sometimes size 5 is perfect for me and sometimes its a little on the tight side.

I haven't handled that specific piece, but I have owned two Schneider cardigans.

They were both size V in the typical oversized fit with slightly dropped shoulders and both were too big/didn't fit right.
I'm 6'3, 185lbs, 41 chest, 19 shoulders.

Checked out that Shir cardi on suspensionpoint and it seems to be a less oversized fit if it wasn't for the chest measurement.
I would have gone with a VI based on shoulders and length, but 23.75 pit-pit is big for a 50/52 even.

My point is relevant, it's just not significant right now since there's only one such post in this thread recently.

Think of the TBS code begging a couple weeks back. One person did it, sure, let it slide....but then more and more people started doing similar because they saw one person did it, got a code, and had no repercussions. Eventually led to Fok stepping in to end the nonsense.

Edit : I'm not saying I really care for Severisth's post, but there's other ways to get the information that you will be putting something up on B/S that work without having to rely on /shameless plug. One is to actually put it on B/S, place the info in your sig and just post something about SS in this thread. I know when I go scoping for specific designer stuff, I frequent said designer thread on SF and look at what people posting in the thread are selling. Most of the time, the frequent posters in a designer thread actually buy said designer stuff and coincidentally, sell said designer stuff too.

Wow, well now I feel like a jerk, didn't realize my post would cause this much conversation; but Feji and everyone else is right, it is in violation of the rules. I'll see if I can't get someone to delete my post, and then we can get this thread back on track.

It's fine if it's a coveted piece like the anthracite alpaca since a lot of people actually look for it and not many people have it, so you're not going to see a billion posts doing it. It's not ok when you have like some random shirt and go SHAMELESS PLUG I HAVE SCHNEIDER SS10 CHECKED SHIRT SIZE VIIII

Seems like alpaca jacket is actually getting some backlash with the hype then reselling by members. Poor example.
