My December order should be ready very soon. Looking forward to receiving them.
And it’s here. Again from the Tradizione line:

I‘m a bit surprised about how much roomier the Tx last is than the T last. I’ve added an insole which takes up much of the slack. Very happy with this purchase.

Always surprised there is not more chat about Bemer in the shoe community. Picked up my bullhide semi-brogues from the cobbler today, and he commented that they were the best-made shoes he’s worked on in ages. I was delighted, especially as the guy in front of me in the queue had been collecting two pairs of Edward Greens!

So I received these beauties today, my first pair of Bemers. I had the A-last moderated slightly in order to accommodate my wife foot and around my big toe joint, and so far the out of the box fit is great. Now looking forward to breaking them in.

And look at this detail for the shoe lace, just amazing 👌

Just wanted to revive this thread. Visited the flagship store in Florence yesterday, great experience. Five shoemakers were at work in the store, out of a total of eight shoemakers, the others working at the workshop two kilometers away. According to the salesman, all the bespoke orders are actually made in the flagship store.

I had a good fitting for a MTO and quickly fell in love with the A last because of its fit. However, in my preferred size where the fit around the heel was very tight, as should be, the fit around my forefoot felt just a bit too tight to be comfortable at the end of a long day at work. Soon two shoemakers were engaged in my fitting (one of them was, I was told, their head lastmaker), and they decided that the best option would be to add a little more room to the last around the joint of my big toe. So with that sorted out I placed my first Stefano Bemer order, can't wait to receive the shoes in accordingly 10-12 weeks. Extremely pleasant experience at the shop, I have to say.
Headed to Florence next month myself and am planning to visit the store. Did they happen to have any old season raw shoes for sale? Im shopping on a budget but figured it would be worth an ask.
Cheers

Just saw on Bemer's website that they now offer an AX last - a chiselled version of the A last. Has anyone seen, tried, or got a photo of it? Must be pretty new since there's no photo on the webpage either. Really curious as the A last for me so perfectly.

Trad is the perfect combination of refinement and sturdiness. BTW, this morning I saw that beautiful Ulster Q is making for you. That LL cloth wears like an elegant suit of armor.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
