Probably best to measure your best fitting pair and compare to the size chart. That being said I found SM is less vanity sized in the waist than most and I sized up. I wear a 32 in other brands and a 33 in SM
Definitely measure but for what its worth I'm a 32 in BR and a 33 in SM. I'd say go a size up.

That makes me realize there's no size 31 option for dress pants. Is this a permanent thing or are they just out of stock @spiermackay?

So with one of the S&M Peak Lapel suits, will a 3" tie look too slim? Should I wear it with a 3.25"? It'll be a 44, what I ordered, but haven't received yet.

I do not see a sorting drop box on the custom shirt page, and custom shirt photo under shop directs me to RTW shirts. Last, is non-iron fabric coming by all means?

Add: I do not like the new custom shirt page in general, when a page has two scroll down pane it always messes up. And I want to view more fabric all at once.

I am not experiencing either issue. The custom shirt photo and text under the shop section both take me to the custom page as it should, at least on desktop. The sorting button is the "Refine" button and then it pops up with all the fabric, pattern, weight, and color options.

I do agree it could be better laid out without the two scroll panels and a better use of space in general. I prefer seeing fabric details at a quick glance without having to click each one. https://propercloth.com/fabrics is a good example of what I mean.

I think the side, 1 image preview could be ditched and the whole page could be fabrics. Add a couple short details on the fabric type and weight in the hover over preview, make the images slightly larger and just utilize a one page infinite scroll in addition to the refine options at the top.

Something like this but with the extra space you can utilize larger samples or maybe even do 4 per row so you could preview more at a glance.

Rick - Some unsolicited QC feedback for you. I own about 60 S&M shirts in varying textures and fabricweights, all RTW. At least 1/3 of them have had multiple buttons come off. I understand that its bound to happen occasionally but this seems like a pretty high rate, and I don't think I am overly hard on them. Just pointing it out. Keep up the good work.

Refine is not sort, it’s filter. By sorting I mean sort by price, newer older

I have had the same problems with buttons. (20+ shirts)
If you're near Toronto, just take it to S&M and (let Rick know) they'll take care of it... although last time I brought them to the store, a salemen at the downtown store was telling me that he has never seen that happen and asking about how I wash them (which is always delicate and hang dry) which I thought was odd...

There shouldn't have been any button issues on shirts made in the last 6 months or so. Older shirts, we were aware and upgraded the machine. If you know the product codes of the items with issues, PM me and I can check.

Regarding the custom fabric selection, we might revert back to the set up we had previously. Have all the fabrics laid out like products and you can click on them for more info. Once the image is bigger, we'll probably be able to display more info on a hover over as well.....
