8 cm block stripes are available from Shibumi and Drakes. 9cm are a bit harder to come by. I prefer 9 cm, but I think 8.5 cm represents a nice middle ground for the 9 cm folks and the 8 cm folks.

Anybody have a white shirt collar polo in XL that's too big on them? I have one in L that fits snugger than all the other colors that I'd be happy to trade. Mine's been worn three times, always washed in cold water and never machine dried. It's in like new condition.

I would totally buy any number of 8cm ties from Drakes or Shibumi, if they charged what Spier & Mackay probably will. But they don't so here's my vote for 8cm/3.25" ties in block stripes of navy + either dark green/burgundy/grey/brown.

Edit: For those that don't know the prices, Drake's retail on their site for the equivalent of $215 CAD, while Shibumi ties are approx. $145 CAD.

Rick, wanted to come to your downtown location this week to be measured and to order MTM jacket. Do I need to schedule? When are you in the store this week? Thanks

Can @spiermackay or anyone confirm if the folllowing fresco fabric (link - http://imgur.com/62KwVp2, or http://imgur.com/EEo0iP4) matches with the number from the Huddersfield website?

104322 = 0520
104347 = 0516
104348 = 0517

which fabric would be considered as 0511 - light gray from the two link provided
which fabric would be considered as 14363 on the huddersfield

No need to make an appointment. Staff there can help you out and are well trained. I usually am there 3x/week after 2:30 - 3:00 pm. I will try to be there more often starting later this month.

I've asked Huddersfield to send me a list to convert the numbers. Apparently the fabrics are the same but use a different numbering system for North America and Europe.

Apparently I'm of the unpopular opinion around here that I prefer slightly skinnier ties. Personally, I will never wear a tie greater than 3" or maybe 3.1" at the widest, with my preferred width being 2.75". So I'll have to pass on any S&M ties unless a skinnier option is made

All our ties at the moment are 8 cm, which is 3.1". That said, we have to keep our ties in line with our suit lapels, which now are in the 3 3/8" - 3 1/2" range.
