Does anyone have experience (positive or otherwise) with the 5-pocket cords? The price is very good right now, and there are still a handful in what could be my size. I wear a 34 or 35 SLIM in most S&M trousers and 35 SLIM in chinos. Would I want to buy the cords in 35 SLIM too? Thanks!

I've one in brown and one in light beige. Both colors are spot on. The fabric isn't as hefty as the one I have from another brand, but that's fine by me. I don't like the heavy cords.
However, I wasn't very lucky with these two sizewise. I got the brown in 30 contemp, which turned out to be too tight in the waist. The light beige I got in 31 contemp, which was ok in the waist, but a bit flimsy in the crotch and seat area. I mean both are wearable, but aren't the greatest fit.
If they run another batch this winter, I might give them another try, though. I'll probably go for 31 in slim fit.

Does anyone know about S&M's sartorial line? And is it available online MTO?

If you mean the 'Emerald label' this is just marketing for full canvas, milanese button hole and unfinished cuffs (to facilitate the creation of working cuffs) , all of which are available in MTO.

They look so lovely. I already have one in my wardrobe and I don't think I can justify a second. But that cream coloured one is fantastic, would love to pair that with a mid grey flannel.
I agree in the abstract but I don't love chunky cream-colored knitwear on me. To me, cream knitwear feels like it needs something layered over it, and I can't really layer over chunky knitwear except on the coldest of days. Chunky knitwear is usually my outermost layer, so I prefer it in a darker color.

I'm with u both. Cream looks beautiful but sometimes hard to wear. I don't have either navy or cream, but I tend to always be biased toward navy and already have a cashmere cableknit in navy, so I'd be torn b/w navy and cream here. I'd want both but can't justify both lol.
