Just got back my first S&M custom shirt and just wanted to note here that QC was excellent as far as all the measurements are dead on.

My one problem - I didn't realize that my other MTM companies (Ratio & Michael Spencer - both using Garland) were adding an inch to the sleeves whereas S&M does not. (I do recall at least one of those sites saying they add some for shrinkage, and I don't machine dry so they never shrunk). So, I need to add an inch to the sleeves on my S&M shirts.

And again to S&M's credit, it turned out really good that they only ship you one custom shirt for your very first order to validate the fit. I was previously disappointed that they wouldn't just make all 3 shirts in my order immediately, but now I'm glad I get a chance to edit the measurements on the remaining 2.

They can also remake your 1st shirt for 50% off.

Just received four pairs of trousers with hemming. I put in a note for turned up 1.5-inch cuffs as a request. The length was as requested (I used half-inch longer for slim trousers than the contemporary, which seem to have a higher rise).

Quality wise, hemming is OK. My local tailor or the susu stores do a much better job (at a higher cost), with better reinforcements and taped bottom, but overall, the basics, like length and cuff height came out quite good, and ease of ordering makes this a convenient option.

In one of the trousers, hemming was not given as an option during the order, but I requested it in the note (asked to be billed separately). This also worked fine, and SM customer service took that note into account.

It's good to know that even if hemming is not an option on the webpage, we can still request the hemming add-on in the notes.

Is there anywhere I can get back rise measurements for S&M trousers? The only pair of trousers I've bought from S&M were chinos and they definitely did not suit me from a fit standpoint, but I'm wondering if the wool dress trousers might be cut differently. I'm looking at the light grey Vitale Barberis flannels specifically but I'll take whatever I can get.
