Should I take the risk on those long sleeve polos? Is it going to shrink to a crop top after the first wash?

Does anyone have any more info/pics/experience with this Drago (MTO sportcoat) fabric?

Drago - Sand & Blue Windowpane
Wool/Silk/Linen blend - I believe its 250/260 gr.

I went up two sizes and these were unwearable after one cold wash/hang dry… Awful product.
I love the short sleeve polos though

Ughhhh and the price was so attractive, too. I guess I wait for the merino versions to come back in stock. Also interested in those short sleeve knit polos. Look nice. But worried about shrinkage of these, too.

I got a couple of the short sleeve knits. I wash mine cold and flat dry and I've experienced minimal shrinkage.

Spier is the only clothes maker which forces you to pay this much attention to how you launder their wares. I have never experienced greater variability in how washing/drying impacts the clothes in my life (and also in sizing, but that’s another story). :confused2:

After getting sizing recs in this thread, I purchased a spier and mackay suit and had it let out ~1 in at the waist. When I got it back I noticed that the jacket quarters look good when I'm in a relaxed pose, but flare out when my arms are not down at my sides. It looks like this is happening along a crease on the midpoint of the jacket that's causing the fabric to fold oddly. I'm wondering if this is an easy fix I can deal with by getting the suit pressed and the crease removed, or whether this is an issue with the alteration itself. Thanks!
Quarters will open out even on high end jackets, and I think it lends more of a rakish casual air when it happens.

Gave the unstructured Di Pray W/S hopsack a try. Curious to see how it wears...and very curious to see if that hip pockets are actually aligned, unlike their model pic lol

I got an XL polo and washed it in the icy water of the Norwegian fjords and hung it to air dry. I went back the next day to find only empty clothes pegs hanging on the line.
That is because you hung it! You should of laid it flat to dry on the dewy frost ground so the fibers could freeze, therefore preventing shrinkage from occurring

Are the custom shirting fabrics seasonal? Noticed there are no more whites (the linen notwithstanding) in the selector, should I be emailing them if I want something that isn't listed?

Good luck! I’ve been emailing support and pinging Ricky on Insta for a few months about adding some white to the custom shirting. He says they have the fabric, but can’t get it added to the site. They eventually added some poplin for me to I ordered that and then gave up.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
