These are fine if you're running errands during the summer with shorts and a polo (though I'd infinitely prefer loafers here), for heading to the laundry room if you're living in an apartment building or for while you're at home. Even for a very casual occasion, you will be fine and look better in loafers. You shouldn't get much real use from these, but that's okay. Up to you if you want to return them.

I really cannot stand loafers worn with shorts. They look utterly ridiculous to my eye, just too formal. Boat shoes, sure. Camp mocs, sure. Loafers? Please don't. And sneakers work just fine with shorts.

Hmmmm. I guess I see some of the more casual loafers out there as glorified slippers and they don't really scream formal to me. I also hate sneakers and shorts outside the gym or other athletic endeavors but was trying to think of ways OP might use his walking advertisements.

Here, loud logos declaring your false wealth are frowned upon.
No one here would wear those obnoxious gangsta sneakers.
You don't want to always be wearing dress shoes, but something like Keds for BB reflects SF sensibilities more accurately.
But, true style is all about wearing what you want.

I already have a lot of shoes like those...like 2-3 pairs but they always crack near the toe area b/w the white rubber and the canvas material seam...its ridiculous. Thats why i figured at the time when i was big on sneakers to go get something more expensive...

And yes i think its best to sell them...honestly i dont understand the point in keeping shoes just to run errands or wear in your house alone (who even wears shoes in their own house/parents house or apartment in school? Thats strange and not even good etiquette to me)

So if basically the consensus is run errands aka use these to walk from level 4 of an appartment to level 1 laundry room and back is all the use i should be getting from these...heck no thats not value for money...ill try and see how much coin i can get from students around here and figure out how to sell them on school campus without looking shady.

As for wearing at super super casual events...i dont really attend or get invited to events at all and the only events i go to are the occasional wedding ive been dragged a long for and such...never a super casual or whatever that means.

Also seeing as i do have the canvas shoes with no logos...even though they are cracking...they probably could suffice if i ever did wear sneakers again but i may as well just wear my tassle loafer boat shoes instead with shorts and in summer. Hopefully i can come back and say you guys saved me a lot of money if i get a sale here...i dont want to chalk it up to experience without getting paid for it hahaha

Aside from the ugly branding, there's nothing wrong with OP's shoes. They're fine for wearing any time you're not wearing a suit. Chinos or jeans, even with a sportcoat works fine on someone who's young. Very casual look.

In general, loud obnoxious fashion logos are of low taste
and are not the mark of a "timeless gentleman"

Tassle loafers are a personal choice.
Many here do not approve of tassle loafers, either
