Wow you guys are great, thanks for all of the quick replies. I was simply looking at the Center-Hi reissue. I want that look. If I do want that look, should i get the all stars or this one? I want to rule out leather shoes just because they need extra care. All of the other PF Flyers look sweet but are probably above what I am willing to spend on this type of shoe. http://www.zappos.com/images/071/715...-127288-p.jpg? Or i was thinking these look cool http://www.6pm.com/pf-flyers-center-hi-brown-1 but I am afraid I will not be able to wear those with everything like the classic black hi-tops I kind of want shoes where it wouldn't matter if I got them dirty or torn up a bit, you know? Wear and tear adds to the shoe for the CLASSIC converse and PF flyers center-hi, but with most other shoes you have to throw them out

Since the thread exists... how is sizing on an albin?

^^Seems normal. I got an 11, I fit 11 in most sneakers (RAF, adidas) and I'm a 10 in Chucks. These shoes are comfy as **** BTW.

PF Flyers fit.. wider? My Number 9s are the right length, but damn if they don't feel loose from side to side. My Glides are awesome for chunky hi-tops. But, dollar for dollar, I'd go with chucks. I'm particularly fond of John Varvatos versions, although every single pair I've owned required some application of shoe goo to the sole and most will put a blister on the back of your heel until it or your feet break in.

After browsing this thread, I picked up a pair of the Albins (purple wrinkle as shown on last page). I have a pair of the fives in 11 and they're just a bit smaller than would be ideal, so hopefull these fit just right. At less than $30 shipped, I'll risk it.

They arrived in the mail this morning (I ordered two days ago, and chose USPS shipping, which was no price increase over standard shipping). I'm very pleased with the service and the shoes look good.

Sheet. Maybe I'll try some Albins. I've been looking for nice collab Rod Lavers for a couple months and the only place I can find to buy them from is overseas. GIVE UP.

I've never had a pair of canvas shoes, and I don't generally notice what shoes guys wear. Do people wear these with shorts?

PF flyers easily, the canvas feels more structured, and the insoles are light years ahead of what converse throws in theirs
