Slim Fit Khaki's/Chino's

hey folks,

i have been reading this whole thread the other day. i liked a lot of chinos but most of them weren't available for my area (germany).

so:
can anyone recommend some chinos who aren't that expensive but in a good quality?

Do not look remotely slim.

How's the sizing on the double knee skinny dickies? I'm a 30, should I size up to a 31? I'll be wearing 'em for work, so while I want them slim, I'd rather they not fit like my APCs.

I would definitely size up. They're as slim in the wasit as Levi's 510. I posted a fit pic here

I have them, they're not that bad surprisingly enough. Size down 1 and they fit fairly similar to WvG sized TTS. I'm selling a pair though, so feel free to disregard my shilling

hmmm that's the canvas line, have you tried the mainline's version -- the tailored Chino?


Anways, the well dressed black chap who has a pretty well known blog has a pic of the mainline chino and they look damn good on him. Although, I'm sure he got them tapered.

Nope, the mainline site looks terrible, it's too off-putting to consider buying anything from it.

And he looks great in everything, I swear. But yeah, I think he got them tapered too

The LE tailored chino is not that bad. Obviously, it is not Epaulet, but it is decent if you do not have any money. For most of the guys here, it will fall just outside of the 'slim' look.

I haven't seen a fit pic of WvG chinos that look particularly slim fit either. Appreciate what Muro is up to, but I prefer some taper.

For WvG, I sized down 1 to get it a bit smaller and adjusted the buttons so they don't blowout. Still probably going to get them tapered though.

Anyway, I hear he's working on tapered chinos, so that should be good

I honestly don't understand the point of buying expensive chinos that don't have the fit you want and instead size down and need a tailor to get everything to fit. Why not buy cheaper ones and do that instead?

I don't use a tailor, it took me like 3 minutes to adjust the buttons. And if you can get me cheaper chinos in espresso with the same feel and colour, let me know
