It was the same sort of **** I got for the first year and a half or so I posted. And then I stopped caring and people left so... yeah.

lol, i dont want people to leave. not because of me, or for any other reason for that matter.

WTF. No one has called for any moderation, just people saying dude, Stitches, chill. Like, is there something I'm totally missing with you and lasbar's posts? In a thread where people post about posters they don't like, people are posting **** about things they don't like with posters and now this is offensive? Like, there's a pretty fundamental disconnect here.

i think that some people are put off by those types of threads to begin with. they feel there is no need to state **** about other posters, rather its best kept to ones self, or told to a mod if there is something really objectionable.

such has been told to me by more than a few people, and no i dont mean the posters above, it was said to me privately. not recently about the current discussion, or in regards to any particular comment. just a general opinion on those types threads or comments. i am not saying that i think such threads should be gotten rid of, other people like those threads. i am not sold either way tbh. i am just saying, its not everyones cup of tea.

anyhow, i think more than enough has been said on the topic. its pretty clear where different people stand on the matter. some people like stitches , some people dont (i use the 3rd person, because i dont think people are saying they dont like me personally). i for my part will do my my best to peel back. that should suffice i think.

I think it helps to remember that our SF personas don't completely (or sometimes accurately) reflect us as a whole person, and that like/dislike focuses only on what we see. I've taken criticism in the past as well, and I tend to accept it as part of what I've chosen to reveal of myself.

And that's all I plan on saying re: this topic.

If people do not like a thread for any reason just stay out of it. It's simple. I've dropped so many threads I used to follow. It's odd to see the Happy Thread with nearly a thousand unread posts but I do not want to hear who has had a nifty bowel movement anymore, don't care what's up in Liam's life today, etc. So I stay out of that thread from now on. Someone was an ass to me in a DT thread so I replied and now will stay out of that thread for a few pages until that disappears.

FYI, with all the bitching and stuff about ignore buttons, this is the price of ****** quality - it drives the good stuff away.

I don't know if the internet is serious business, but this thread is, or was. So lets save it for serious reports. Otherwise, it'll be like the boy who cried wolf: ignored and devoured.

And don't forget, any time you have a prob. w/ a particular post, pls flag it.
