To me the sand reminds me of MMM/cowboy boots. SLP is more rocker with the slim profile and pointy toe. The RGxCP looks great IMO with straight pants. Can't Imagine the same with SLP...elf shoes.

Dark suede like navy/black lack versatility
IMO. It's like the black loafer/dress shoe.

Really depends on what you wear u know.. the sand one works well for me.. but I can see how the charcoal or navy one would work for Fok and t3hg

Hmmm those are good discussion points. I have the tobacco suede CPs, so I think sand would be too close in color to be unique. The charcoal does seem versatile, maybe it's worth it at that pricepoint..!

My advice is that it sounds like you don't even know why you would want them, and therefore you definitely shouldn't buy them regardless of price or condition.

Sorry did not specify: I need a casual AE shoe to wear with jeans but wanted to see if this pair can be more versatile in that sense.
Hmm. While those would likely be perfectly "acceptable" in all office settings (which is where I assume you are going to wear leather soled shoes and jeans), I dislike both the model and the grain. For 30$, I'm don't doubt that you'll get decent mileage for your money, though I dislike the creasing.

I also feel the need to complicate things further. 99% of the time, I dislike leather-soled shoes with jeans. My suggestion would be a pair of boots - AE or possibly Meermin at a similar price range - or even loafers. Or, y'know, a pair of trousers with a different pair of AE shoes.

Take a look at member @GusW for some good inspiration; he often wears leather-soled shoes with Levi's 501's

i really don't like the shape on those, especially to be worn with jeans. IMO something bulkier and more rounded would look better with jeans. vintage longwings are easy to find cheap and IMO look good with jeans.

(ignore the questionable sock color: https://www.instagram.com/p/on2t9VD-1Q/)

If it was a maxi or kaftan I wouldn't even ask. I just don't like wooden toggles.

I like the idea of that material for a coat, but that specific one is going to make you look a little crazy. Perfectly good if you're down to look crazy though. Or like Snuggles the Fabric Softener Bear.

Hmmm...

50% off at Older Brother...

I like them both, but favor the darker ones a little more.

Damn, one last day to decide if I want these RGxCP Chelseas, can get them for about $350USD shipped w/ customs and duties to Canada, which seems like a good deal.

Agree with everyone that sand suede will be easier to wear, but I also like those. Could look good with black jeans.

Feel like a lot of OL stuff doesn't translate well online. A lot of pieces look better in person because of the fabric and/ or cut. That said, that jacket looks a little boring. Could be cool depending on how you wear it though. Maybe with a turtleneck?

I like both, but mostly the shoes.

Need advice! What would you say is the condition of these Allen Edmonds? Worth buying? Also what would you wear these shoes with. Price range is around $30

Those are really bad photos of that model. A more accurate photo (from the AE thread)

Agree with Synth that dress shoes often don't look good with jeans. Some exceptions, like Gus and longwings. Generally prefer chunkier boots or sneakers, personally.

I think those would be fine if you're on a tight budget, but I don't know. Doesn't seem like something you'd be particularly in love with in a year or two. You probably wouldn't lose any money on them, however, if you resell on eBay at some point.
