MOAR pornography: EG's Malvern III with ~ 500 gram linen slacks and pearl grey diamond socks. I still haven't been able to choose the greatest RTW shoe last of our time. I'm torn between Vass's F-last, GG's 06 and EG's 202 for obvious round, timeless shapes.

The 202 is hard to beat for comfort. I had a black pair on the other day and they were great.

Very nice. How do they wear?

I haven't seen too many pairs from Maftei online, but they always make me smile. They've some talented shoemakers in the company's ranks and, with their prices, Maftei must be among the finer bang-for-your-Euro makers in Europe.

@j ingevaldsson stunning shoe and great pics. So simple and lovely

Thanks a lot guys!

Chogall: Have only worn them a few times, so can't really tell how they'll wear yet.

Latest acquisition: a pair of seamless wholecuts from Austrian bespoke maker Maftei. Very pleased with the shoes. On my blog you'll find a substantial buyer's guide to Maftei, lots of info and with more pictures, among others from the production of these shoes. Use the translation tool in the sidebar to make it understandable.

The shoes:

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
