The leather toplift is part of a solid heel stack. It provides a bit more stability. Because it is thin it may wear through a bit faster than the rubber "half heel." Which theoretically forces you to replace it before it gets worn to the point it is affecting the alignment of the bones in your feet. The more the heel is worn down the faster the outsole will wear out.
A question about the heels
Does the leather one have any advantage over the rubber one???um....apart from being JR brand...
