I have the 11.5D (my regular size) and a pair of 12Bs. I can wear the 12B, but they are tighter than I thought they would be. If your normal size is a 12D, the 12B would fit too tight for comfort.

It could just be the way they are polished, but those shoes look like they are made with corrected grain leather.

Highly-polished fine grain leather IMO. Bespoke-quality leather can look very shiny because it's so fine. But in person, you can definitely notice the distinction between the high-shine and the plasticy corrected grain.
