Slumberhouse Baque

The hype about this house is pretty ridiculous, but I can't say I don't really enjoy wearing the ones I have from them. This is so great in the cold.

Bought samples of a new house called Folkwinds. It’s by this guy Jono Bornstein who has been playing around with materials for a while now and also worked for Ensar Oud albeit in a non perfume type role. I was really impressed with the samples. Wonderful blends, approachable and some interesting ingredients. The only downside is they are expensive. I purchased a bottle of Santi Ana, but the other two are great as well. I’d suspect American Pharaoh to be his most popular. Clouds illusion is a bit more avant garde to my nose, orris heavy and pez candy rolled in sticky rice.

Lagerfeld classic is good

Agreed. It is quite good.
Recommended seeking out the version that only states "Lagerfeld" on the bottle, before "Clasic" was added.

I reached for Coriolan from Guerlain today. Seemed like a nice one for a sunny, 70-degree, but still fall-like Thanksgiving day here in Northern California.

Today's scent - Penhaligon's Hamman Bouquet - the same scent since 1872 (not that I've been wearing it that long).
