Exciting new times. I’m loving everyone’s thoughts on what’s to come. Ironically enough a Celine just opened in my mall right across from slp. Hahahahhahaha

Allowing hedi to create a men's section from scratch is like him creating his own labeled brand. This is a bitter sweet taste of what it would be like if he did things solo. I'm excited for this. I hope it's punk and rock with a bit of casual. Anything really.

I feel like everyone’s been riffing on sportwear for about five years especially dior homme with KVA.

The best thing about this move is how unexpected it is. People have divined numerous locations but I don’t remember Celine coming up even once.

Great news. Finally something else to discuss in this thread.

I don’t see Hedi going full sports luxe by any stretch. I feel like that’s already on the wane, at least in the fashion zeitgeist.

There will certainly be an expanded e-commerce presence—that was confirmed in the release. Bernard Arnault and LVMH are clearly looking to maximize the brand, and an online presence is increasingly becoming a retail lynchpin. As much as the idea of in-store exclusivity still holds sway in certain quarters, it looks increasingly antiquated in today’s landscape.

I’m more surprised by how soon Hedi is returning to fashion than by his choice of maison. But the curveball approach is very much working, from Galliano at Margiela to Gvasalia at Balenciaga. I very much look forward to seeing what Hedi does with the brand—September can’t come soon enough!

It's the Tank Solo. It's a classic and sold in mens and womens versions. Probably the gold version (they have a lower priced steel, but save up for the real thing) with a black leather strap. It's the same watch that Andy Warhol wore.

I'd imagine he wears the XL size. There's a smaller size but it might be for women.

I was wondering the same. I noticed the back pair has a black chain; haven't seen that before on jeans.

Phoebe Philo is the only designer whose work I like and identify with as much as Slimane's. So, I'm super interested in seeing how much of her legacy he keeps in the upcoming seasons. My big "what if?" in fashion for the past several years has been, "What if Phoebe Philo designed a men's line?" The outerwear would have been amazing!
