I asked the same some time ago, but got no answers.Do you guys clean your dress chinos in the washing machine or exclusively dry clean?
Thanks for the input. I might give it a go when the time comes, I am only concerned that the pleats might get twisted.I machine washed my standard dress chino at 20° C on wool cycle. The heavy weight dress chino I bought 2nd hand from here only went through one hand wash. Both are still alive.
I machine wash all my pleated cotton trousers and also iron them myself. It may take some practice to iron the pleats, but I see no issues here. The only trousers I would avoid to wash myself are those made of wool or those with a lining or sth like this. Thanks for the input. Yet again, my dry cleaner recently caught fire so I don’t really have an option I trust…
Now I know why I like Rubato, thanks!Guys I hate to break it to you but the Rubato aesthetic is literally Rick Astley

Friends, I am selling an XL skipper polo from this summer that did not fit me--Because I bought it on sale, they would not let me return it. I would also be open to exchanging this for a size L of any of Rubato's shirts. Link to the Styleforum classified.
All sales of special priced products/discounted items are final. When purchasing an item that is discounted/special priced/on sale or at a Pop-Up event you waive the right to return the item.
I live in the USA where it often feels our consumer protection laws exist to troll consumers I agree though, especially since this policy was in small font on a different webpage, and not on the page of the shirt. I wouldn’t have bought the shirt otherwise. But alas, one lives and one learns. If you're in the European Union and bought it from their online webshop, they can't deny a return because it was on sale. A lot of web shops claim this, but it's in violation of the EU's right to withdraw.
If you are indeed from the EU, this shows Rubato's bad customer service and straight up illegal commerce practice.
Edit:
I just checked Rubato's return policy. It states:
If the item is bought online, this clause is sheer nonsense and can be ignored.
Anyone know of an alternative to Rubato's cotton knits? Rubato knits are just too short for me (and 400 euro for cotton is way too much).
I feel the options I find are usually chunky and rustic, or something thin, smooth and too smart-looking. Looking for something that's not too thick but also with some character, if that makes sense.

Nice looking knits, but yes, quite expensive and still quite short, unfortunatelyI haven’t checked measurements, but the Permanent Style cotton knit made by Speciale? Probably not cheaper, if cheaper at all - but the Speciale knits seems great quality.

I'm just a little shorter than you, but I have quite a long torso and tend to wear midrise trousers. Looks like the size L is 67 cm which is really pushing it for me. The bare minimum I can do is about 68 cm or I'm showing midriff if I raise my arms haThat’s too bad. I tried the Speciale ones in L and XL and found them perhaps a tad too short (I’m 6’4), but I know PS added a few inches or so - so I just assumed it should be good.
Interesting, I've seen brands in the US frequently selling non-returnable items (archive sale, factory seconds, etc) and thought it was common practice for these kinds of articles. If you're in the European Union and bought it from their online webshop, they can't deny a return because it was on sale. They should, in EU it's against consumer law to deny return on online bought items - you have the right of withdrawal for any items bought online from companies registered within EU within 14 days from receival. Be it final sale or whatever, doesn't matter.Interesting, I've seen brands in the US frequently selling non-returnable items (archive sale, factory seconds, etc) and thought it was common practice for these kinds of articles.
Maybe if the buyer reaches out to Rubato and mentions the EU law thing they could offer a return?
