Rock hard leather inner and outer soles can beat your poor feet to a pulp. Here's what I do....

I wouldn't dare show the main house. Those are the servants quarters. I do not allow anyone into my home while wearing a watch costing more than $15. I wouldn't even post a picture due to the fear of you peasants "aping the upper class". You're black shoes probably cost more than $500 too. This conversation is over!

Increasingly, I find myself reaching for my rubber soled shoes to head to work.
I just can't stand the thought of starting my day knowing I will have to endure an entire day on unforgiving rigid leather soles.

Screw that.
I pretty much have stopped using my leather soled shoes, and prefer the dreamy comfort of the modern miracle compound.

No, it's not the fit.
Stiff hard leather is just not as soft as pliable rubber.
That's why when you design car tires, you'd use leather b/c it's so dreamy soft.
There is a good reason the entire human population prefers comfortable rubber soled shoes.

Has anyone else here stopped wearing shoes with leather soles?

No, I find leather infinitely more comfortable. The forum has not died, but only those questions of interest are answered.
