Reliability of Shopping Online?

Since browsing this forum I have noticed lots of links to stores like shopthefinest and virtualclotheshorse. Are these stores reliable, traditionally I have always stuck with bricks and mortar official stores through fear of being sold fakes and one of these shops mentioned they get their stock at retail stores yet say they undercut the retail stores, I'd rather pay $800 for a Kiton shirt in the UK than significantly less but have a fake or used garment.

Can anyone provide more info as to reliability and whether they are really used garments etc. THank you very much.

The online stores you've listed are reliable (as is Sierra Trading Post and Yoox), I can't remember a single complaint or suspicion about a purchase from there. It's eBay you have to be careful with.

The shops you've noted are very trustworthy, myself I've also done very well with purchases on eBay. Being said like anything on eBay and life for that matter, if it looks to good to be true it probably is.

Its usualy not THIS seasons stuff ... Or samples, but usualy not the same you find at the "Brand store*" Is quite often what one would call "graymarket", paralel import etc. But If you know the brand or are willing to gamble, and you see something you like you can do realy well

^ Easy for you to say SoCal. Every store you could possibly dream of is like, what, 2 blocks from your apartment building's door?
The closest Nordstrom/Saks/Anything worthwhile is 90 minutes for me!
