So these both just came in. Boots are beyond expectations. Insanely good. Insert all of those cliche leather words. The derbies aren't perfect but also turned out pretty well.

I tried those Poeme boots! The leather is really good, but the shaft is so wide you have to tuck them in, which combined with the soft hefty shape gives them a sort of Ugg vibe.

Poeme boots inexplicably arrived today even though I only purchased them yesterday and didn't get expedited shipping. I don't think I could size down on them, although the toe is a little elongated. I definitely agree about the Ugg vibe, although now I'm wondering if I should just take them to a cobbler to see if he can taper the shaft a little.
