It can be two things.

These looked too awesome to pass up. Mr. Porter's sizing advice is a little confusing, calling some Ann D. sneakers TTS and others running a size large. Lacking a shrug emoji, we'll see how they turn out.

i went tts (39) on all my ann ds. they're a bit large, but i doubt a 40 could fit into them comfortably. mostly, the heel is a bit loose

I have (consistently, so far) found the sneakers tts and those fat flatsole derbies 1 size large.

The Ann D restocks on the US Mr Porter site were amazing. I bought three pairs of the derbies on Yoox not long ago at higher prices (and those were already discounted) than what they were going for on Porter US.

Good to know. At least now I can brace myself for disappointment when they end up being too small for me.

Also picked up these Ann D suedes in 43. Just hope they are TTS like MP says.

They fit about 1/2 a size large, but it's no biggie. I was going to pounce on those, but ended up getting Guidi 994 ankle boots instead.

Cool, I can use an insole.

Which ones were those? I wanted the burnished brown ones but hesitated and lost. Been refreshing the page ever since. I'm disgusted with myself.

I have those in my wish list too, but can't decide if I like the shape. I guess they will look better when worn.
They look much more like the leather ones, when worn. Guidi boots are all object dyed, which is why they have that signature, weathered look, and sometimes odd shapes straight out of the box. However, they look a lot more like this, worn (when a human foot is in them, unsurprisingly, they look more filled out:

They have a rounder toe and a chunkier silhouette than the 017 I have on custom order (and that are taking their time to get here - delayed a couple of months, apparently). The one piece 017 is noticieably slimmer.

From re-porter. Have been wanting these for a while. I was saving up for some shoes, but got these instead since I literally don't own pants that aren't ripped or 2 sizes off.
