All, got my 9 D and 9.5 D Natural CXL Pinch Pennies In the Mail today. 9.5 D is going back and 9 D is staying, great to get sized on the 114 last. First pair of loafers I've bought in 15 years, nice and casual for the summer.

9.5 D in all other Rancourt purchases up till this point (800 last, 115 last, 2592 last)

First picture is 9.5 D, other two are 9 D

Ordered the bison leather ranger mocs from J Crew while they were getting cleared out for $120 (all gone now). Hoping they look better than the pictures but can’t beat the price.

Could anyone please share their experience with the camp moc sole? I’m a big Rancourt fan and own a few pairs but none with this sole. The new peat colored loafers (https://www.rancourtandcompany.com/products/pinch-penny-loafers-peat-dryden?size=9&width=D&color=Peat Dryden&variant=41342628528260) are really tempting me but I know that I love the traveller LH soles. If these peat ones came with those I would have ordered already.

The camp moc sole looks like it would be much harder than the Reltex LH sole. Thanks very much to anyone with experience with both that’s willing to share.

I don't have any with these, but if they're anything like the Ranger moc soles they aren't good for lots of walking.

I wear camp soles on my summer shoes. They are much lighter -- great in hot weather -- and still comfortable. They are great to wear sockless because they have a lower profile. I wear soles that come with a midsole -- like the Vibram wedges, Reltex (Lactae Hevea) etc. -- in fall and winter. They make for a much heavier, more water/weather resistant shoe in their construction. If you want to use the shoe primarily as a walking shoe, I would say the vibram or Reltex (Lactae Hevea) soles are better then the camp sole for that purpose. It's not that the are supportive, they are just more stable and impact absorbing.

more comfortable than an Amazonas sole, not as comfortable as LH.

Rancourt's camp moc sole is light weight and very flexible. Basically, when wearing it is similar to barefoot.
In contrast, the Reltex LH soles are much thicker, heavier, and more rigid-substantial feeling.

I don’t have the LH sole but I do have the pinch penny loafer and I use them as my “dressy” travel shoe. Camp sole isn’t particularly supportive but I walked all around Venice a bunch in mine. Wouldn’t want to do a full day of walking but a mile or two on pavement isn’t a big deal.
