Barney's has a few last pairs heavily discounted: brown Suffolk (size 12) $279 and brown pebble double monk (size 11) $309.

I called the NYC store and they only had a few of the Hand Grade on sale, nothing from the main collection.. At least in my size, 8UK. Ordered the Audley for $600. I'm curios to see how it will compare to the Hallam.

These are great. IMO shell looks best when it develops an "uneven" (if that is the right word) patina. AHS

Maiden voyage this morning for the BBBF double monks I picked up right before Xmas. Color a bit more subdued in real life.

I have the same BBBF shoe and I'm trying to decide whether or not to return. The shape is kind if big and round which I don't mind, but I might reach for something else more often than not because of its more casual appearance. Do you think you can dress this up some, or is this strictly casual? I like the color and especially the price at $297.

Also, I too like seeing some variation in the different parts of the shell wingtips. It makes for a really cool looking patina on a somewhat casual make-up.
