Joined the C&J club this week

Ordered a pair of black calf Cliffords on Friday through Pediwear. Shoes arrived yesterday. Was so relieved to find the C&J 7.5E 337 fit me perfectly. Wore them to work today.

Plotting for a pair in tan now.

I stumbled across the BB shell cordovan cap toe boot (burgundy) at the BB on 20th and Broadway last night (few blocks south of the Flatiron building). It is 50% off, $498. They have 9D and 10D in stock. Was tempted but the fit wasn't great for me. Labeled Peal & Co, but pretty sure they are C&J. They do have some shop wear on them. 9D is on double leather and the 10D is on dainite.

Thanks for the tip. What size do you usually wear in other shoes?

I have the RL-Marlow wingtip in 10D. Fit is okay but a little snug in the toe box.

Can anyone confirm or speculate that this is the 325 last? Peal and Co. For Brooks Brothers. Link here.

I could certainly be wrong, but they look exactly like the BB, Peal & Co. shell cordovan boots I saw a few days ago. I could swear they fit identically to my 325 lasted RL-Marlow Wingtips.

I just put in a tongue pad on my Alden LHS that I got. They feel fantastic now. That said, I've only had a week of experience at this point.

I've used tongue pads on two Alden slip ons and have had great results. While I've used them for about a year, the LHS and tassels are not part if my regular rotation... I might use each about twice per month.
