I don't remember if I made it all the way down to the smallest size but besides the captoe boots in 8 I didn't see anything else.

Yeah, I am a 7 and every time I've gone, the selection is unimpressive and half the shoes are from larger sizes, I assume are there in 'hiding' by potential buyers.

It always appears to me that in the sales the best value and deals are inevitably to be had in large sizes. I'm a 7.5/8UK and they never seem to have anything decent in my size.

It's been said before, but the sales are in large part made up of one-off samples, all of which are made in UK 7.5

If you are one of the lucky ones, then mazel tov

(Of course I'm talking about the sales in the UK C&J stores, your mileage may vary)

Not sure if the best thread to post my question, but will these black C&J Tetbury boots work with dark denim jeans?

Finally able to drop by the Barney's Warehouse Sale today and the shoe selection was pretty limited in smaller sizes (i.e., 7 & 7.5). They did had a pair of burgundy loafers.

Anyone have experience of the C&J 365 last and specifically the Islay boot. While a UK E fitting it looks quite wide from snaps on the web.

The 325 fits me TTS but wondering if anyone has sized down with the 365?

I have the Islays and they are voluminous. I probably could have sized down .5 but staying with my 'TTS' was fine (and avoid the risk of them being too tight). Besides, when I wear thick socks, my Islays are very comfortable. They look wide probably because of the double welt.

FYI, I don't tuck my pants in my Islays like the pictured gentleman...

Thanks for that. I have the Veldtschoen boot Snowdon which fits me TTS but Islay looks more 'voluminous' as you put it.
Would probably prefer Islay if it had smooth leather uppers as opposed to grain but it does cut a striking shape, even with trousers tucked in

.
Has yours developed a nice patina and held up well to the elements??

If you like the fit of your Snowdon I am sure the same size on the Islay should be fine. I should be clear my comparison regarding the 365 having more volume was to their other lasts (e.g., 348, 337), which may not be a fair comparison because the 365 is a country last. When comparing Islay to my other country boots, I actually find my Islay sleeker than my Tricker's Stow. They are country boots, so they should have more room for thicker socks.

I am in NYC so I'm not mucking around the countryside but they hand the downpour well. This might be taboo to say in this thread but my Stows are more durable and what I turn to for bad weather. I started using a darker polish and it has turned out nicely. I posted a picture of them last week here:

That would be the C&J for RL lindrick in brown shell. Boom.
