First thing I noticed too. Do I really need a fourth Coniston after TSG, DBSG and roughout?
sure you do. I needed a fourth Coniston after TSG, DB Roughout and Hatch Grain Cordovan, when they offered one in Chestnut Milled Calf in their curated sale after Christmas last year. No chance to escape...

I think that would actually make a pretty phenomenal line up of Conistons, each one offering something quite different.

My problem is I already have Conistons in Slate Suede so really similar..

And I have C&J Chelsea boots in the same brown suede and slate suede.

Although that does mean I have an imbalanced collection and the brown suede Conistons would complete the 2 x suede Chelsea + 2 x suede Coniston.. dammit…

Looks quite nice. DR has a sale with these on that had me thinking. The cleated sole appealed since I am looking for a taller boot that I could use for hiking and icy weather. The timing is perfect too since I am looking to trim my collection. :p The leather looks a bit Horween Chromexcel adjacent.

Hi all,

Hopefully a quick last question. I have a pair of Pembroke in 325, size 11.5 UK and they fit well outside of being too wide in the heel and mid foot. Am I understanding correctly that the 365 might be somewhat narrower in those areas? Or does a boot construction tend to help take up some of the extra slack compared to a derby shoe, even if using the same last? Specifically, for that last question, I am considering the Coniston model.

Nice @ha er , a somewhat un-C&J-like model. I like oiled and roughout-style leathers and wear them much more frequently as my smooth leather shoes.

Good/bad thing this Wexford model is no longer available, otherwise it move towards my wishlist. I'm not in love with the current Denver and Lanark models. The new natural roughout Cardigan is alright, but I'm good in the brogue-department.

Seems theres a Blucher/Split-toe Apron trend going around. Sanders just released one too in scotch grain

A boot construction certainly negates heel slip due to grabbing at the ankle.

The term blucher seems to be bandied around incorrectly in my view. The ones in your post are simply derbies but not bluchers. I had some C&J Marlow for RL that were also incorrectly described as plain toe bluchers.

You can clearly see from the picture of my bluchers that the lacing system is distinct from standard derbies.

I just thought Blucher was an American term for a Derby.
Are you saying that a Blucher is a whole-cut Derby with two pieces of leather sewn on to create the lacing?
