Appears you're buying Scotch Grain in bulk?

I can totally understand why though ;)
Like grey dealers in the watch world create rise in demand and prices for certain watches, bemk is driving up the demand and price of Scotch Grain. A grey dealer of the shoe world this man is. Please be weary and dont get caught in his honeytrap of fine photography :D

I like both broguing and grained leather, but a plain grain leather, possibly with a toe cap, dresses up smarter, thus I wear less frequently. In our office sneakers are very much the norm unfortunately.

These look great.

The Islay in black scotch grain is tempting. But brogueing on top of the black scotch grain feels like too much is going on. Minimalist design (like coniston) goes with the scotch grain for it to stand out in itself as a leather pattern
may sound strange, but I donˋt like any broguing on boots.
I love my pembrokes, but never got a friend of islays.

I'm sure it has probably been discussed, but without sorthing through the many pages of the thread. In regards to Conistons, outside of taking UK sizing, is the last/boot suitable if you have a low instep or would the facings bunch up too much? Looking at either Conistons or Islays (yes, different lasts) but still need to find time to try and get sized.

I would say it is not for low insteps. My instep is somewhat low and it barely works for me. I can live with it, but be very careful if you have a very low instep. I have been planning on getting a tongue pad, but so far I have not bothered.

The Islay/365 is strange. For me it works although the last is roomier than many others. It seems that on the instep the 365 is lower than 325 for example, but for toes and heel there is much more room.

Thanks, judging from pics its what I expected. I'll maybe have to see about the Islay and just how roomy it is. Toe room is always good but if the heel is wide too then heel slip will be a big issue.
