I decided to finish off the roll in this camera today. I know what pics I took today but have no idea what's on the rest of the roll. This could be an interesting adventure. LOL!

Minolta SRT's are tanks with great optics. I hope the roll turns out well.

Slight diversion.

, the father and son pair goes on photo road trips as a way to bond with each other.

“I thought it would be fun to see if we could both do something on a road trip that I would also enjoy, I wanted it to be art based, and since I am looking through a camera so often that seemed a good vehicle for collaborative exploration. Our first with cameras, into the desert, was not about photography, it was about connecting as a father and son,” said Huey, in an interview with PetaPixel.

They are tanks indeed Bill. My SRT 102 is always in my camera bag and has been for 4 decades. It has never failed me no matter how rotten conditions have been. Oh and the roll came out well.

Friends,

I've sold off my entire Nikon kit because it was all a bit too heavy for me for the type of photography I've been doing of late (mostly travel, some of it by motorcycle).

I still have my X100 and am planning on picking up an XT-1 with the 35mm and 14mm lens to cover off the focal lengths I shot with in the past.

Any one have any concerns re: the X-Trans sensor and RAW conversions in Lightroom?

i know @AY referenced it a bit in his X20 review but just wondering if the concerns out there is just the internet being the internet.

I've sold the 5D III with the L primes for the Fuji X-T1 out of portability reasons. Got the 14 2.8, 23 1.4 and 35 1.4 for it and a Samyang 85 1.4 which is a breeze to focus with the amazing EVF.

I didn't test yet how the X-T1 works with the current Lightroom 5.x but when using my 4.6 back when I had the X-E1 you really have to change the workflow, especially when it comes to sharpening. When printing you probably won't really see a difference, only when pixel peeping.

To be honest I use Lightroom way less now. Most pictures go via WiFi to the phone/tablet as 3mp JPEG, get a wash through VSCO Cam and uploaded to Facebook/Instagram/wherever. If I ever shoot that Pulitzer picture or want to print it big, I'll be more careful on the post-editing.

Thanks, glad to hear.

Update: Just bought the body and 35mm f1.4 lens to take advantage of the Fuji discounts...$100 off each the body and the lens.
