i remember my mom got me this instead of the die cast metal optimus prime...

i cried (because I was 7 and well because my mom made a huge assed mistake). my dad ended up finding one of these (beta fighter) eventually... and then some vhs tapes of the series and well i was hooked (for about a year). I actually never followed anything animae or cartoons after that...

It's a character from the PS2 game Persona 3. Basically a robot with guns for hands. I like the design because it makes her look like she's made out of clockwork gears and such. It's probably one of the few unsexualized female Japanese robot designs I can think of.

Go and play Metroid: Zero Mission. It's a great introduction to the series.


You should also play Super Metroid (originally released for the SNES). One of my favorite games of all time, next to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (I sure do love those 2D side scrollers!)

But for robots, I've always held a place in my heart for the ZM-D11S Abigor from Mobile Suit V Gundam. Simple design, but it was the 1st model robot I ever got so there
