Only my second watch purchase of the year and I didn't even remember to take a photo. Well, I guess it's technically my 3rd but I won't see on for several more months.

This is one I've wanted for a while and finally decided to just buy it on BF.

Posting this watch here as well because it was this thread that convinced me to pick up the Helson Hammerhead, which shocked me how much I liked it (other than the screw lugs and the fauxtina being a little too much for my tastes). In fact, I liked that watch so much, I decided to upgrade to this one, which has been absolutely perfect for me and on my wrist most of the past two months.

How is the legibility? When I tried one on at the shop it was very difficult to read; however, in hindsight it could have been the bright lighting.

No issues for me. It's also a 42mm watch, so that's a ton of dial space.

Nice watch.

Apologies if the question has been asked before, but are you in the watch business yourself?

The individual watches may be under a ‘poor man’ price threshold - but the number of watches you display would definitely be beyond the means of a poor man.
No I slowly fell into the watch collecting rabbit hole. I'm retired now so I think my addiction is over. Don't get the urges anymore. I'm trying to thin the collection but I have a hard time "letting go". I estimate that my collection of approx 70 watches is worth $30,000 to $35,000. That would be the price of a single Rolex to put it in perspective.

[Recommendation Request] Everyday Watch around £3000

I am a doctor living in the UK. I have a Rado Coupole in a leather strap which i use for formal occasions.
I am no watch collector but would like to have a nice everyday watch to wear at work.
The work environment falls under business casual (Odd Jackets, Casual Trousers and Penny loafers).
As am fairly new to this and am keeping a budget of 3k +/- 5%. I have a small wrist so feel 36-39mm size options would be ideal (have added an image for reference)

Some of the options that come to mind are:
- Longines Spirit 36
- Tudor 1926
- Tudor BB36
- Breitling chronomat 36
- Grand Seiko Sbgr309

Happy to take advice or some other options!

Of the watches you listed, I'd probably go for the Tudor BB36 or the Grand Seiko (the Breitling would be my third choice).

Both the Tudor and the GS will have pretty great quality. I like the more toolish/sporty look of the Tudor but if you want something a little dressier, it's hard to go wrong with the Grand Seiko. If you haven't yet tried on or handled the Grand Seiko in person, I'd highly recommend doing so. They look pretty good in Seiko's marketing photos but most of them are 10x better looking in person. Seiko really needs to invest in some nicer photography!

As a fan of Grand Seiko I certainly would choose the Tudor. That is not the model from Grand Seiko to go for, in my opinion.
