Alright! Got the Harvard 2 MTO in the new Milled Calf leather. Going to break them in today at work. Very supple and feel more like slippers than loafers.

Those are super cool. Was this the limited edition from last season I assume? How much did they ask for if you don’t mind my asking?

I'm thinking of a single MTO whiskey shell Dundee boot on 335, but I keep waffling on the welt. Looks like the traditional route is storm welt, but I wonder if a 360° flat welt with fudging or even a notched welt might look nice with the broguing. Anyone want to help me obsess over this silly detail?

Here’s a Whiskey shell Dundee on leather with a stormwelt for visualization (on 325 though)…

$795 total so not cheap. Very light and flexible. Hope they hold up as I live urban and put serious wear on my shoes.

That's a great description of the leather. I got a pair of Chelsea 5s in milled calf in the summer sale and had a similar reaction. Very soft to the touch and pliable. The more I wear them, the more I appreciate the way that the milled calf breaks in and creases. When I first got my pair they were a bit tight over the top (which I assume is due to the chelsea design having a lower instep than how I lace up my laced pairs in the same size), but just enough that it seemed like a safe bet to put some wear on them and hope they would relax into the right shape. It took several wears with a decent amount of walking to get there, but they did. I think that that soft, pliable milled leather helped them settle into a snug, comfortable fit around my foot. Like slippers captures it well. I'm sure that this is even more pronounced in an unlined model like yours.

Very thin leather, though. I can feel it walking around in the cold.

That seems like a reasonable tradeoff. Unlined loafers won't insulate much in any case. I'd rather a shoe like that be optimized for warmer weather/indoor comfort and wear a boot or shoe meant to accommodate a thicker wool sock in the cold.

Thank you!! I’ll strongly consider it: I think the lack of speed hooks and 335 last on the GMTO may make me a bit weary. How does the overall width compare to 325?
I’ve only one pair on 335, the majority of mine are 325. I find 335 slightly more forgiving of my wider forefoot.
