The upcoming new Kurono Chronograph 3 HISUI.

Rather attractive, as I see, not enough to make me pull the trigger though. 3460 USD.

Interesting technology-
Apparently, in addition to being smaller and more energy efficient, this also produces a smooth sweeping second hand, rather than the familiar one second ticking of quartz movements.

Doesn’t Bulova already have a watch with a quartz movement with a sweeping second hand?

Yeah, historically, it had the tuning fork movement and more recently has done an electrostatic movement that both have sweeping second hands. And of course, there's the Grand Seiko Spring Drive, which is a sort of hybrid mechanical quartz movement. Obviously, this isn't the first non-mechanical watch with a sweeping second hand, it just seems like it has potential to be smaller and cheaper than the common quartz movements in something like 80% of watches being sold currently.

Also, Seiko has their VH31 meca-quartz movement.

A plenty of nice watches around. I may be wrong, but have the impression that they never were so numerous as nowadays. Really no need to look always at the usual, mostly unreachable ones.

Yesterday, to clear my mind and prepare before the incoming tornado of hosting Thanksgiving this year:

Today, thankful for the Chevron strap that can accommodate my expanded wrist size since yesterday's gluttony:

Was running when i opened the package up today, which is a good sign. Seems to keep time well so far. Needs a new strap/band and I may clean up the case a little. Have not checked out the movement yet, as the case back is torqued down pretty good.

Only flaw I see so far is that the crown/stem got torqued or whacked and is bent or off axis when turning. Should be a simple fix.

7009-8049 from Feb 1976 I believe.
