That's me. Well, thank you kindly.

Since Mr Claymore is mentioned and photographed so often, may I ask - is he in the biz? Or just in it for fun? Blogger perhaps? I assume he's also been on SF at some point.

He's certainly an eccentric dresser - verging on the dandy. Nothing wrong with that of course. Well, not in my book anyway.

I'm an American buyer so I'm here for work but I also happen to love it. Pitti is an incredible experience. It's kind of like all the best parts of Styleforum in real life; passion about clothing, seeing all sorts of interesting new things, learning a ton, and a comunity of fascinating friendly people, with none of the closed mindedness and negativity that the Internet breeds.

Over the past few fairs Eric, Erica, and I have become close friends. Erik takes a lot of pictures and we're often together so I end up in too many of them.

I have a somewhat historical take on dressing with a bit more flair than the forum tends to prefer (not that I care.) I attempt to stay just this side of costume. Sometimes I am more successful than others.

With your facial hair, you do bear more than a passing resemblance to famous 19th-century Czech composer Antonin Dvorak -



He did live in the States for a few years (hence the "New World" Symphony and the "American" Quartet). Checked your family tree recently?

Met him last week in London here: our American members "Mr Claymore" and "poorsod" happened to be in town. So a London contingent consisting of "Cantabrigan" and yours truly met up with them. We we were also joined by the two rising stars of the bespoke shoe trade, Daniel Wegan (G&G) and Nicholas Templeman.

I think, I can speak for all participants and say it was a very enjoyable evening. Mr Claymore is a lovely guy and (not only by the way he dresses) a larger than life character.
