You mean the Ultimate Spider-Man reboot? It’s fantastic. He’s older, married to Mj, has two kids and Ben is around. It’s everything fans have wanted for years from Marvel.

I’m just not far into it yet. About 4 issues behind. Mainly because I don’t buy comics like I used to and always feel bad pirating something I enjoy. You need to support these projects with your money.

I’ll get caught up soon.

I really liked Pacific Rim but not the sequel.

I remember watching the sequel and wondering if there was another movie in between the two that I had missed.

I really liked the first one. The second one was still fun but I did feel like there was a bunch of plot that basically got told in flashbacks so I kept WTFing.

I find teasers for trailers a little annoying but I hate a bunch of random edits being released. Let me obsess over just one or two cuts damn it!

I've read all the books and I'm really glad it's going to Apple.
Netflix would cancel it after one season even if it's a hit because it didn't algorithm correctly with the Mongolian teen demo or some other such bullshiit.

I agree about Apple being better than Netflix, with its frustrating one and done track record for way too many good shows, but I just don't see how it's possible to turn a book series that is 90% internal monolog into a decent TV series. The appeal of Murderbot is the constant stream of thought and observation, which works fantastically on the page, but isn't visual at all.

I've been a defender of Netflix for a long time. Even with the price hikes. Having said that I'm at the point I may no longer care to pay for it. Only shows I'm excited for are Sandman and Stranger Things. Both are ending soon.

I read all the Murderbot books and I will be very curious to see how the series looks. I wonder how many people (maybe including myself) will complain that they got the protagonst character "wrong" in one way or another. The books don't really give a lot of clues about the character's appearance or gender, and I think the ambiguity is one of the things that makes the character so interesting in a lot of ways.
