I lost a watch that was very valuable to me for sentimental reasons. I have dreams that I find it.

I went to a black tie thing last week, and when I slipped the valet ticket into a card pocket, I found three folded $100 bills that I had forgotten about.

Is this the sort of thing that you are talking about?

Have you checked your tennis short pockets in the laundry basket? Watches have been known to show up there.

The black tie events you mentioned were rarer and rarer? Is this the sort of thing that you are talking about?

Vox, if you buy SA a new Brigg umbrella with those long forgotten bills, all will be well with the world.

Such things are going the way of Begg scarves on eBay. Sad, really.

Did you use the facilities during the evening? If so, did you leave the stall door open? $100 tip on your way out?

I can't tell if you are doing my greatest hits or my greatest misses (although it is hard to distinguish between the two.)

Exactly. They were entertaining on what was a rather slow workday. I owe you some thanks.

that is rather sad/bad to only have three $100 bills. Sorry to hear that.

How do you lose an umbrella? It's not like it can just walk away. Unless you mean to imply someone *stole* the umbrella (which is more logical than "losing" an umbrella).

I can't find my cellphone... Palm Pre! I hope it turns up in my friend's car where I think I left it last night. :\\

Some years ago I also somehow lost a pair of cufflinks from my mother and a nice vintage gold pocket watch given to me by my grandparents. I have no idea how I lost them but probably left them at some gig in the middle of nowhere.

Sucks...

I honestly cannot remember. Either it was stolen from the office, or I left it somewhere while traveling.

The watch was much more important to me as it had sentimental value.
