It's been years since I read the books, but I don't recall anything about the Three Musketeers of Ethos, Southeryos, and Ulthos or whatever. They sound like parody names.
Saw this map recently. Not that it's new, but it's an attempt to give the Game of Thrones world a sense of scale. I really prefer it to the author's interpretation (where the continents are much, even absurdly larger). I've heard it said that Martin imagines Westeros as big as South America. I always assumed the characters just had no idea how far apart the things in their world really are and were exaggerating.
